Students are expected to be well-groomed each day and wear clothing that does not distract from the learning process.
Students must follow dress code rules:
Clothing worn to school must follow the Hesperia Unified School District Dress Code. The following items are not to be worn at any time as per the dress code:Clothing, jewelry, and other accessories associated with violence, drugs, alcohol or obscenityClothing identified by the Hesperia Sheriff Department as being gang-related or having the Kings, Raiders, or LA logos on themOversize shorts or pantsHats worn backwards or to the sideFacial makeupSunglassesOpen-toed or backless shoesJewelry and accessories that are unsafe, especially wallet chains, belts that hang from the waist, or dangling/hoop earringsClothing that is too tight or revealing. Shorts should be no shorter than the ends of the students fingers with the arms extended downward. Shirts must be longer than the belt loopsTank topsSpaghetti straps are not allowedDressing down (shorts to knee, white T-shirt, white tube socks)Unnatural hair color is not permittedNo tattoos allowed – permanent or temporarySkate shoes are not permitted at school due to safety reasonsClothing items with skulls or skeletons will not be permittedAnything that is considered inappropriate by administrative staff is not permitted at school
When students violate the dress code, parents will be called and asked to bring replacement clothing to school. If they are unable to bring other clothes, children will be allowed to turn their shirt inside-out or choose another item to wear from our clothes closet.
