No Fighting

On Sept. 17, cell phone video showed two boys punching the victim; 13 year old Diego, at Landmark Middle School in Moreno Valley, CA. This fight resulted in the death of the victim. The following news article shows how Hesperia School Police handles altercations.

Six suspects were arrested following an investigation into an assault that occurred on September 18th.


DATE/TIME: September 25, 2019, at 8:00 a.m. 

INCIDENT: Conspiracy, Asasult, Participation in Criminal Street Gang 

LOCATION: 17300 block of Sultana Street, Hesperia 

SUSPECTS: Jonathan Rubio, age 20 a resident of Victorville, Efrain Molina, age 19 a resident of Hesperia, Brian Gonzalez, age 20 a resident of Hesperia, Christina Penaloza, age 19 a resident of Hesperia, and two 17-year old juveniles

SUMMARY: On September 25, 2019, deputies and officers from the High Desert Regional Gang Team, Valley Regional Gang Team, Victorville City Gang Team, Hesperia City Gang Team, Victor Valley Station MET, and Hesperia School Police served a series of arrest and search warrants as a result of an assault that took place at Sultana High School in the City of Hesperia. On September 18, 2019, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a fight occurred in the parking lot of Sultana High School. Several members/associates of Thee Rascals Criminal Street Gang were found to be involved. The Hesperia School Police conducted an investigation and determined the suspects were not attendees of Sultana High School. As a result of the incident, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department High Desert Regional Gang Team began an investigation. Jonathan Rubio, Efrain Molina, Brian Gonzalez, Christina Penaloza, and two 17-year old juveniles were identified as suspects. Rubio, Molina, Gonzalez, and Penaloza were arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. Two juveniles were arrested and booked at High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center. Thee Rascals Criminal Street Gang indicia were recovered during the operation.
